It is easy to think of your opponent as an enemy, an obstacle or a thing. But your opponent is not a thing: your opponent is a person, with dignity, feelings, hopes, pleas, fears and flaws -- just like you.
In a conflict, we tend to see our opponent as a problem. Our opponent, however, is not the problem. Our opponent is a person. We must separate the person from the problem.
In a conflict, you will often be attacked by your opponent. Happily you have a secret weapon that can disarm your opponent.
Your opponent is crazy. How can they be so stupid? Except, well...that what your opponent thinks of you too! Who's right?
You can't solve conflict when you are angry. You can't solve conflict when you are angry. You can't solve conflict when you are angry.
